Rare Pair Fest Letter 2016
Jun. 27th, 2016 07:46 pmHi there, and thank you for taking the time to look at my letter! These are just some ideas of what I think I'd like to see for the pairings I requested. If you have any other ideas, feel free to go ahead with that instead!
General likes:
-Getting together, slow burn is a plus
-Getting to know each other more in general, particularly interest-sharing
-Friendly rivalry/competitiveness
-Crack, or cracky premises executed seriously
-Porn is definitely welcome
General DNWs:
-Infidelity or jealously portrayed as positive
-Any pairings not requested (passing mentions of canon pairings are fine, but otherwise I'd prefer no significant background/past pairings)
-Crossovers
Gunnerkrigg Court
Pairing(s): Antimony Carver/Jones
I think what I find most interesting with this pairing is Mayfly-December on a massive scale and just how much of a mystery Jones is. Anything with Annie finding out even more of all that is weird and wonderful about Jones would be great, from the little things in daily life that are just slightly off to some bigger, xeno-ish stuff if you prefer. I'm interested in the flipside too - for someone who's lived for as long and seen as much as Jones, what would she find interesting in this young girl?
High School Fleet
Pairing(s): Misaki Akeno/Munetani Mashiro
I really love the evolution of their relationship and growing trust between them, how they come to not change their respective leadership styles wholesale but learn to accommodate each others'. I'd love to see them develop a more battle couple-esque dynamic as they go on more seafaring adventures - probably something set post-canon when they're in the Blue Mermaids? Role change/reversal would be interesting too, with Mashiro as the Captain and Akeno as the Deputy-Captain, or with them as crew on a ship captained by someone else.
Osomatsu-san
Pairing(s): Matsuno Choromatsu/Matsuno Karamatsu, Matsuno Choromatsu/Matsuno Todomatsu
With Choromatsu/Todomatsu, I like for how readily they'll insult each other most of the time, there's still moments of caring about what happens to the other, at least on Totty's side like in Dayon Tribe. Something like that but from Choromatsu's side could be interesting. I also like how both of them seem to think themselves as less of a shitty NEET than the others, but they're actually just as bad - maybe something with that, taken to either the comedic or serious direction?
"At worst I'll support you" is basically how I started shipping Choromatsu/Karamatsu, and I like how it makes Choromatsu seems like the responsible little brother, but he's not actually that put together after all and Karamatsu does try to be a good big brother, sometimes. I'm always interested in more stuff that shows what would happen if they actually move out together. Or just some cracky smut with Those Briefs (Pounded in the Butt by a Pair of Briefs with My Brother's Face On It?).
