Multifandom Tropefest 2018 letter
Sep. 18th, 2018 05:48 pmHi there, and thank you for checking out my letter! I'm
General likes: character studies, missing scenes, characters getting to know each other, rivalry, relationships with mixed/fraught feelings, banter, post-canon, canon divergence
Smut likes: kink exploration/experimentation, sex while half-clothed, face-touching
General art likes: Either muted, limited palettes or very bright ones, fancy costumes, slice-of-life scenes
General DNWs: genderswap-to-het for M/M & F/F ships, A/B/O dynamics, de-aging, unrequested crossovers/AUs, unrequested non-canon pairings
Fandoms:
Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight
Characters/relationships: Daiba Nana/Hoshimi Junna, Daiba Nana
Requested mediums: Any
Freeforms: Acting - Lost in Character, Acting - Method Acting, Dimension Travel - Meets Another Version of Self, It Never Gets Any Easier, Kissing - Practice Kissing, the show must go on, Time Loop, Time Loop - Length of Time Looped is Inconsistent
-Episode 7 was a total game-changer and it made Nana a totally fascinating character for me. I'd love to see something that delves more into what goes in her head as she continues looping through the same year over and over - how does she feel having to befriend everyone all over again, and has anyone ever clued into what she was doing? Does doing the same thing over and over again really makes her happy, or does it just get harder on her as time goes?
-I'd definitely love something similar to the previous prompt but focusing on Junna/Nana as well - is the nature of their relationship the same each time? Does Junna ever feel that something is off with how Nana acts? Or maybe a role reversal AU where Junna is the one looping?
-Something a bit AU/canon divergent that plays with the nature of the time loop could be fun too - maybe it's not always the exact same amount of time that gets looped? What if sometimes it's closer to the performance, or further back, maybe even way back before Nana came to the academy? How would it affect her relationships with the others, then? Did something really wrong ever happen in one iteration and Nana has to find a way to continue her repeat showing despite that? Maybe instead of a time loop, she got thrown into a parallel dimension with different versions of the whole class, including herself?
-Focusing on the acting bits works too, and it doesn't have to be practising for Starlight - future fic or an AU that still deals with stage plays would be interesting too. Maybe there are cases where Nana really gets into a role that the line between actor & character got blurred? Or maybe she gets to play a couple with Junna, and that lead to some not-just-on-stage feelings getting revealed?

Flying Witch
(Note: I'm only familiar with the anime)
Characters/relationships: Ishiwatari Nao/Kowata Makoto, Kowata Makoto & Kuramoto Chinatsu
Requested mediums: Canon-compliant art & fic
Freeforms: De-Powered - Loss of Magic, Haunted Houses, Magic Curses - Cursed To Transform Every Time A Specific Trigger Event Happens, Mentorship - Taking a New Mentee, Nerds Bonding Over Learning Magic, Normal Life in Magical Setting, sentient object, Stranded On a Magical Island, Witches/Warlocks - Suddenly Gaining Magical Powers
-I just love the blend of the mundane and the fantastic in the world of this series, and I'd love to see more of that. Just Makoto going about her life, except with magic that's totally normal for her but not the others? More enchanted/haunted buildings a la the cafe? A place like the flying whale??
-Continuing from the magical places theme, maybe they get trapped in one of those places. How would they try to get out of there? Perhaps a lot of the things that happen are just normal for Makoto and she's trying to calm Chinatsu and/or Nao down? Or is she panicking just as much?
-Teaching & learning magic! There's Chinatsu wanting to learn magic, so something where Makoto starts to mentor her in all seriousness would be sweet, but maybe Nao gets interested as well? Or maybe it's a sudden acquisition of magical ability that kickstarts the learning process instead. And perhaps somewhere down the line either of them gets good enough that they're learning together with Makoto rather than just learning from her?
-I'd love to see cases of magic gone wrong as well, whether it's included in the scenarios above or otherwise. Maybe some accidental transformation curse that's not actually dangerous, not unlike the one inflicted on Inukai, except with a different trigger? Or maybe Makoto loses her powers in one way or another. How does she find her way out of the predicament and how do the others react/how does it affect them?

fault
(Note: I've played up until milestone two side: above)
Characters/relationships: Ritona Reighnvhasta/Selphine Rughzenhaide
Requested mediums: Canon-compliant & canon-divergent art & fic
Freeforms: Always on Duty, Arranged Marriage - pairing is cheating on arranged spouse(s), Badass in Distress, Camping, Cockblocked - Can't Find Privacy to Have Sex, Competence Kink - Won Over by Supreme Skills, Dancing Lessons, Interclass Relationship, Loyalty - Oath of Loyalty, On the Run, Politics - Court Intrigue, Secret Relationship, Unequal relationships
-Anything that explores the princess/bodyguard dynamic! There's focusing on the unequal footing, of course - with Selphine's position as the next queen and Ritona's guardian duty, how does it affect their relationship? Would they need to hide it because of that? Maybe Selphine has to enter an arranged marriage and they have to get around that in a way? Would loyalty ever be a question? Maybe they're hiding their relationship among other intrigues going on?
-For a lighter take, perhaps their respective duties simply mean that they rarely get the chance to get intimate, or maybe Ritona needs to get through lessons to prove her fitness as Selphine's companion - etiquette or dance classes maybe?
-More of them when travelling out and about in dangerous conditions, whether it's during their journey back to Rughzenhaide as depicted in canon or other scenarios. Being chased by enemies? Camping out in the wilderness? One of them gets into trouble and the other has to come to the rescue? (I'll be fine with Rune or other characters getting thrown into the mix as well, if you'd like.)
-We've seen them praising each other to high heaven about what the other does well, which I find adorable, and I'd love to see more of that. Ritona wooing Selphine with her manakravte abilities? Selphine impressing with her diplomatic skills? Other less-expected skills from either of them?

The House in Fata Morgana
(I've finished the main VN, Requiem, and everything in Collected Edition, and would be fine with things set in any timeline)
Characters/relationships: Yukimasa Aida/Pauline Asama
Requested mediums: Any
Freeforms: Blood Drinking, Blood Drinking - Turned On By, Codependency, crime spree, Hanahaki Disease, Identity Porn - Secretly A Serial Killer, It Gets Easier, It Never Gets Any Easier, Only Person They Can Talk To, Reincarnation - Only One Person Remembers, Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms - Rough Sex to Stave Off Other Violent Urges, Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One, Reincarnation
-Give me all the questionable ways to deal with Yukimasa's bloodthirst, from kinky stuff (Bloodplay? Knifeplay? Just rough sex in general?) to actual murder. In either case, how on-board is Pauline with it - maybe in the former case she's only weirded out at first but gets into it later, but with the latter case, does it get to a point where she's compromising her principles for him?
-More on what goes inside his mind while he's doing the whole perfect boyfriend act - does it get easier as time goes, or the opposite? Does she ever clues in into any of it? Maybe even scenarios where she becomes the only one to know about his urges & how it affects their relationship.
-Reincarnation-compliant or otherwise, I'd love to see modern reincarnation scenarios and how their past lives affect their current one, especially if they remember their past lives to different extents (or maybe one straight-up remembers nothing). Or maybe even look at their second lifetime - did either of them ever remember anything then?
-Pauline's feelings being secretly one-sided could open up possibilities for a messier twist on hanahaki disease. If it were the first lifetime, maybe she considers it a punishment for breaking her vows, or in the second lifetime, she might put it to their distance and/or him being lost? And what would she (and/or Yukimasa) try to do to alleviate it?
